Good morning & happy Sunday! I am currently drinking coffee and making pancakes with a strawberry reduction. I spent this whole weekend gloriously doing nothing. It was seriously great!
Friday night we stopped to pick up some new candles & a giant fur blanket, then we went to this great Chinese restaurant. Then we got a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, put on hallmark Christmas movies, and laid all of the Chinese food on the table so that we could literally drink & eat throughout the night as we pleased. It was the best idea I’ve had since when I planned our junior prank in 11th grade.
Saturday Elliott deemed “his” day since we did my thing Friday night. So we got up early & went to the gym, cleaned the house, took a nap, and watched his football game at 7. We snuggled with the pets & I caught up on all of my reading!
This weekend was seriously so needed & perfect for me. I always end up cramming in misc things throughout the weekend and a lot of times go into Monday not feeling rested. Not this time though! We’re gearing up for the busy Holiday season where it’s back to back work parties, engagement parties, and Holidays from Thanksgiving onward. Every weekend has an obligation, so this weekend we’re taking full advantage of having none!
