Good afternoon guys I hope you’re all doing well! Today’s post is on one of my favorite subjects: face masks! And not just any face mask, the lazy girl’s bff: PEEL OFF face masks!
I personally love a good mask, but hateee removing them. Which is why I picked up Origins Ginzing Peel Off Mask, which promises to refine and refresh pores. It is also claimed to be good for normal, oily, or combination skin types (no dry ladies here). This product is also formulated without any nasty parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. I also have to mention the price was very affordable at only $26 USD.
What I noticed first about this product before even applying was the gorgeous shimmery copper color it was! I know it shouldn’t matter… but to me it does! I felt like a bronzed goddess the second I put it on. It also has a wonderfully light citrus smell, count me in!
You want to follow the directions precisely though to make sure the mask peels off evenly. You want to apply it to dry skin, and avoid applying near the hairline, eyebrows, or eyes. The second time I applied it was on wet skin and I didn’t apply it evenly … it took almost 20 minutes to peel off because it kept coming off in tiny shreds. I don’t recommend you try it. Once the mask dries (you’ll feel it get tight) all you have to do is smile to loosen it and it should peel off nicely.
My results were great! After the first use my skin felt clean & looked much more bright/less dull. I do have to say for skin that is sensitive (like mine) or prone to redness you will certainly be red after peeling off for probably 30 minutes. After 3 peels over the course of a few weeks my texture appeared more even and my pores looked less noticeable. I wouldn’t apply this mask more than 2x a week personally.
All in all I did enjoy this mask, but I can say it probably isn’t for everyone. If you have very dry or sensitive skin I would shy away from this baby as it did cause redness for me and is a bit … I don’t want to say drying… but maybe just not moisturizing.
What facemask have you tried lately that you LOVE?
Let me know in the comments!
That’s all for now loves,
