Bold Holiday Lip Looks

It’s the holiday season and everyone is out and about buying gifts and spreading cheer. Next comes a slew of work and family holiday parties.. And they’re right around the corner. Here are my favorite takes on 2015 holiday beauty. Hint: pick a bold lip and work the rest of you look around it. The best part? These looks can be carried out day or night, formal or just friends, and are plenty work appropriate.

Red:

Go flirty with gold, silver, or bronze metallic liner, smudge & apply mascara. Add some rosy cheeks and you’re all set. Or, make like Gigi Hadid and pair your red pout with dewy skin and nothing more.. So sexy!

Go classic with the most minimal makeup: just a swipe of mascara for an incredibly chic look.

2. Pink

The most fresh look this year is to pair matte pink lip color with smudgey chocolate eyeliner and soft cream blush. So femine, gorgeous!

Or take a fun approach this year and match your favorite bright lipstick to a bright dress, shirt, earring …anythig! Try a fuschia lip with a fuschia dress.

3. Brown

Get your glow on by pairing your brown lipstick with gold bronzer (medium-dark skintones) or a pink based highlighter (fair skintones)

Or play it cool by adding some shine in! Top a rich brown lipstick with clear lip gloss, then ad some gloss to your lids also.

I normally just use tinted chapstick on my lips, but I’m thinking about trying red lipstick for the holidays. What tone of red do you recommend for light brown skin? I feel like bright red would be too much..
